For those in Europe, many will have been settling down for the day ahead to the news that, for the first time in a long time, Google has made some big changes to their algorithm. For our American friends, many will be waking up to the news that there has been some large fluctuations occurring. Our Google keyword rank checker tool Google Grump is detecting changes all over the world:

All countries affected

All of the countries, bar Australia, that we track in Google Grump have been affected on both Desktop and Mobile showing very high volatility:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Netherlands
  • Denmark
  • Germany
  • France

Australia shows it is not as affected by the update. This is certainly something that our Google keyword rank tracker will be keeping a close eye on.

All but Australia

As we can see below, there is not much difference between desktop and mobile; the Google algorithm update has hit desktop and mobile almost equally, leading our  keyword rank tracker to suggest that it’s an all-around update.

Desktop today
Mobile today

Delving a little deeper, using our powerful Google rank checking capabilities, we can look at the trends apparent from thousands of domains tracked by AccuRanker; it would appear that many domains have been affected by the algorithmic changes and some have seen massive shifts in their keyword rankings. Our tools will continue to watch as the days roll on and it will be equally interesting to see if Google have anything to say about it.  In the meantime though, make sure you subscribe to Google Grump so that you never miss a potential algorithm update.
