Google Shopping

SERP Features

What are Shopping results on Google?

Google Shopping displays paid shopping listings and Product Listing Ads (PLAs) directly in the search results for queries with strong buying intent. If someone searches for a specific product, there is a good chance Google Shopping results will appear.

Shopping results show up either at the top or on the right-hand side of the SERP. Each one includes a product image, price, and seller name. Depending on the product, you may also see additional details like reviews, shipping information, and more.

Like Google Ads, these are paid placements. Retailers bid to have their products shown here. But unlike a standard text ad, shopping results lead with visuals, making them far more eye-catching for users who are ready to buy.

Because they appear above or alongside organic results, Google Shopping results can significantly impact CTRs on standard search results for commercial queries.
